FloorTiles.co.za is a free quote service for floor tiles, flooring and tiling in South Africa. Whether you are choosing tiles for a new house, redoing a bathroom, fixing tiles that have popped or tiling round a pool, one request reaches the tile suppliers and tilers near you.

How it works

Fill in the setting-out plan at the bottom of the page: the rooms, their size, the tile size and the pattern you like, and where you are. The plan counts the tiles and boxes for you and gives a rough price. We send the request to tile suppliers and tilers who work in your area, and they quote you directly. You compare and decide. It costs you nothing.

Everything we take requests for

From one en-suite floor in a Sandton townhouse to a whole new house in a Ballito estate, a guesthouse stoep in Clarens, a school passage in Polokwane, a garage gym in Centurion or a pool retiled in Somerset West.

Getting tiling quotes you can compare

Two quotes for "tiling the lounge" can mean very different jobs. Make sure each one covers the same area in square metres, the same tile (size, finish and grade), and the same work: lifting the old floor, levelling, adhesive and grout, skirting, trims and cleaning up. Ask whether the price is for supply only, laying only or both, how long the job takes and when the tiles can be delivered. Ask the tiler about movement joints and adhesive coverage under large tiles, since those are what keep a floor from popping later. Buy all the tiles from one batch and keep a box of spares.

Frequently asked questions

Does FloorTiles.co.za sell or lay tiles?
No. We are a free quote service. You send one request and we pass it to independent tile suppliers, showrooms, flooring companies and tilers who work in your area. They contact you directly with their prices. There is no obligation.
Porcelain or ceramic?
Porcelain is denser and absorbs almost no water, so it is the better choice for busy floors, kitchens and outside. Ceramic costs less and is fine for bedrooms and bathroom walls. For a timber look, see wood-look tiles.
What does tiling cost?
As a rough 2026 guide: ceramic tiles R90 to R300 per m², porcelain R150 to R750 per m², and R160 to R380 per m² to lay them, plus adhesive, grout and any lifting of old floors. See the floor tile price guide for worked examples.
Which areas do you cover?
All nine provinces, from Johannesburg, Pretoria and the East Rand to Durban and Ballito, Cape Town and the Winelands, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Mbombela and Polokwane, and the towns around them. See all areas.
